The Navy Hockey team welcomed Liam Cunningham, a 16-year-old dynamic and dedicated athlete in his second season as a member of the United States National Sled Ice Hockey Team. Liam began playing sled hockey at age 7, after being diagnosed with a degenerative bone disorder in his legs, joining the Minnesota Wild Sled Ice Hockey Program. He has since excelled as a key member of the United States Sled Ice Hockey Team, contributing to the team’s impressive accomplishments, including a 2nd place finish in the World Para Ice Hockey Championships, and victories in both the International Para Hockey Cup and the Canadian Tire Para Hockey Cup. Liam is the younger brother of Midshipmen Bobby and Patrick Cunningham, who both play for the Navy D1 Men's Ice Hockey team.
