Navy Hockey Loses a Warrior, #7

On Nov. 27th, 2016, the Navy Hockey Family lost a true warrior, Senior Defensemen and Captain, Jason "JJ" Jablonski. JJ passed away due to complications with leukemia, and although he never stepped foot on the the ice during his senior year, he led the team with an unwavering positive attitude and unbreakable sense of humor throughout his battle with cancer. The coaches, team, players, fans, and families of Navy Hockey send their dearest condolences to the Jablonski Family. Jason will continue to protect and guide his brothers on the ice with a relentless fighting spirit; his memory will live on in McMullen Arena forever. From all your brothers and sisters in the Navy Hockey Family, we love you J. Rest easy, brother.

SEASON UPDATE:

After a disappointing 5-game losing streak to John Carroll, URI, and Michigan State to close out the first half of the season, the Mids broke the streak with an 11-2 blowout win against Penn State this past Friday. Navy must win out the last 3 league games against Drexel, Lehigh, and Penn State to take home the regular season banner and earn an auto-bid to the 2017 National Championship. Navy will continue to fight in honor of Jason and the entire Jablonski family. Head out to Class of 1923 Arena on Saturday or Body Works Arena on Sunday to watch Navy compete this weekend in the Philadelphia Area!
