Navy took both league games this weekend against Villanova on Saturday and Temple on Sunday.

This weekend featured an incredible offensive performance from the Mids who put together a combined 11 goals between both games.

Game 1 @ Villanova:

Navy's physical presence was felt by the Wildcats after big hits by Vandenberg and Haigh in the first period. A penalty-shot goal by Vandenberg put Navy ahead by two, however, a late rally by Villanova left the final score 4-3. Senior James "Patches" O'Halloran had a strong perfomance in net, saving 42 of 45 shots on goal. Forwards Stamler, O'Hear and Sogard also contributed to the goal column.

Game 2 @ Temple:

Navy's offensive clicked in the first period, posting 3 goals. Some penalty cost the Mids a few powerplay goals, but a strong 4 point performance by Forward Vandenberg (2G, 2A) overpowered the Owls for a 6-5 finish in favor of Navy. Sophmore Goalie Luke Markus weathered the storm in net, saving 44 of 49 shots on goal. Senior Jack O'Hear picked up 4 assists in the big win, bringing his total tally to 22 points for the season thus far.

Next weekend features another league double-header away at Lehigh on Friday night, and Towson on Saturday. Towson's game is Military Appreciation Night, so make sure to pack the stands and support the Blue and Gold!
