Here is your weekly Navy hockey update:
Navy ACHA D1:
Navy D1 traveled up to Rhode Island for a weekend series against the #21 ranked URI Rams. The game Friday night would see a great effort in net from Charles Doherty who made 46 saves on 48 shots. Unfortunately the Rams defense would only allow one goal coming from Jack Burke. URI would take Fridays game 3-1. The next night the Mids would push the #21 Rams all the way into overtime. In what was a closely played game, Navy saw goals from Golembrosky and Reynolds not to be outdone by another great night in net from Charles Doherty stopping 30 of 32. In overtime both teams failed for score so we would go to a shootout. URI would eventually prevail to come away with the shootout win dropping the Mids to (4-4-0-2)

Despite the fact that this event is greater then any game...a hockey game was played. Tech jumped out to an early 3-1 lead and never looked back. The final score: VT 7- Navy 3.
Navy had goals from Cameron Dean, Jack Martensen and Max Shuman.
