Navy beat long-time Rival Army at the Second Annual Royal Cup last weekend in Reading, PA at Santander Arena. This was the second year the competition was hosted at the home of the Reading Royals, an semi-pro team that plays in the ECHL. This year featured a large, energetic crowd and an exciting atmosphere.

After a scoreless first, Navy and Army both managed to earn one goal in the second period. However, in the 3rd period, the flood gates opened for Navy. The Mids managed to score 3 goals and an empty-netter, the scoreboard showed 5-1 in Navy's favor at the final buzzer. Although the first two periods were competitive, the strength and depth of the Navy roster overpowered the Black Knights.

If you did not make it to Reading this year, mark your calendar for next November to make it out to Santander Arena to support the Mids! If you missed the game, it was filmed professionally on ESPN3, the link is included below.
